St. Maarten – House rules presentation for the joint central emergency dispatch

On Thursday April 9th a presentation of the “House Rules” for the Joint Emergency Dispatch Center was given at the Philipsburg Police Station by Chief Inspector Benjamin Gout Head of the Traffic and Police Support Department.

The presentation was given to the team leaders and personnel of the Ambulance Department and police department who will be working in the Joint Emergency Dispatch Center. These rules and regulations were jointly put together to bring clarity in the working relation among colleagues from both emergency departments. In other words “The rules of the game” so that everyone involved can work together in a pleasant environment and professional manner.

To clearly formulate the guidelines all misunderstandings in the communication can be prevented and we can then move forward to make this emergency dispatch center exactly what it is intended to be, which is, to share information and offer support in a friendly and professional manner.
