Sint Maarten. Use of false identification card and credit cards

On Tuesday December 10th the police department received several phone calls informing them of several Spanish speaking persons (possibly Latin Americans) using the old version (blue model) of the Sint Maarten Identification Card to use as a source identification and false credit cards in the attempt to make very expensive purchases.

The names that are on these identification cards do not correspond with those persons making the purchase. All businesses should exercise caution when making these expensive sales or transactions.
