Man seriously wounded during attack
On Monday May 26th at approximately 08.45 a.m. a police patrol was sent to Long Wall road in the vicinity of F.W. Vlaun and Sons to investigate a case in which a man was viscously attacked by another man with a weapon.
On the scene the investigating officers learnt that the victim in this case had bled quite a lot as a result of the beating and that the victim had already left the scene and reported to the Sint Maarten Medical Center for treatment. Long wall road was partially closed off for the Detectives and Forensic Department to conduct their investigation.
Witnesses stated that the victim was struck numerous times with a long object in his head and on his body. The victim with E.P. stated that he had gone to the snack bar to purchase something to eat when he was unexpectedly attacked. He was treated for his wounds at the Sint Maarten Medical Center and then released.
An official complaint was made with the Detective Department as to who the suspect is and why this attack took place.
