The victim was a physical instructor at Milton Peters College and recently transferred from Sint Eustatius to Sint Maarten.
The male driver of the suspect vehicle has been arrested later in the evening on Tuesday and put into custody for further investigation.
The Police Department has learnt that on Wednesday September 7th all students and staff of Milton Peters College were informed of this tragic accident by the school management.
The Police traffic Department continues to work on this case to determine exactly what the cause of this accident was. As more details become available the media will be informed.
