Sint Maarten : Heavy vehicle falls into ditch

On Sunday February 15th at approximately 11.50 a.m. Police traffic Department and Paramedics were sent to the crossing of Oyster pond road and Coralita road, in the vicinity of Casa Blanch where a heavily load dump truck had fallen into a ditch.
On the scene the investigating officers encountered the drive of the vehicle that did not suffer any injuries but, was still checked out by paramedics.
The driver stated that while driving up the hill he encountered mechanical problems with the vehicle causing the vehicle to roll back, destroying the railing and fall into the ditch.
