Tourism Office : Congratulations to Keacy Carty and West Indies under -19 Cricket Team for their ICC World Cup Win

Saint-Martin Tourism Office, Sandy Ground – On behalf of the Board and the staff of the Saint-Martin Tourism Office, I would like to congratulate Keacy Carty and the other members of the West Indies Under-19 Cricket team for winning the ICC Under-19 World Cup title this past Sunday against India. It was certainly a Valentine’s Day gift that we on Saint-Martin can share with the rest of the region.”

Carty whose father is the well-known calypsonian the Mighty Repeater, brought home the victory with an unbeaten half-century score that allowed his team to win the game by a five-wicket victory.

The type of sportsmanship, focus and determination exhibited by these young men during their first time to the ICC championship says a lot not only about them but the coaching staff as well. These are the types of role models that should be held up to our young people and this is the type of excellence that certainly deserves praise.
